People Operations Generalist - Director

About the role

The People Operations Generalist (Director) is an execution‑focused individual contributor who ensures a smooth, inclusive, and people‑centered employee experience at Third Plateau. You will own core People Operations processes, manage day‑to‑day HR operations, and partner closely with managers and staff to maintain a positive and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Manage semi‑monthly payroll, including onboarding, terminations, leave, deductions, and reporting.
• Administer employee benefits, conduct open enrollment, and perform benefits analysis.
• Oversee 401(k) administration, ensuring timely contributions and eligibility tracking.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end onboarding logistics, including benefits enrollment, background checks, and 401(k) setup.
• Handle off‑boarding activities, exit interviews, and feedback synthesis.
• Administer the annual performance review cycle using Lattice.
• Maintain and improve People Operations systems, audit SOPs, and ensure compliance.
• Serve as primary HR partner to assigned teams, addressing employee relations matters and coaching managers.

Required profile

• Strong execution orientation with experience in HR operations.
• Proven ability to manage payroll, benefits, and retirement administration.
• Experience guiding onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Capability to partner with managers on performance management and employee relations.
