Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist

About the role

The Speech and Language Therapist will develop, implement, and coordinate individualized therapy programs for children with communication and language deficits, supporting their participation at home, school, and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and select appropriate assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing articulation, language use, social interaction, play, and community integration.
• Monitor progress, adjust or discontinue interventions as needed.
• Adapt environments, equipment, and assistive technology to support communication and independence.
• Educate and train parents, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, billing, and scheduling records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educational personnel, and community agencies.
• Supervise Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and support staff.

Required profile

• Graduate of an ASHA‑accredited Speech and Language Therapy program.
• ASHA certification (MS, CCC‑SLP or MA, CCC‑SLP) and current Washington State license.
• Strong clinical judgment, compassion, integrity, and professional conduct.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, record‑keeping, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of human development, disability impact, and evidence‑based therapy practices.
• Successful completion of required fieldwork and background screening.
