Pediatric Respiratory Therapist – Full-Time Nights

About the role

We are seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric on the night shift at Jeff Hwy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures, including oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, according to established policies.
• Draw, analyze and report arterial blood gases and EKGs.
• Deliver intermittent therapy and assist with changing artificial airways.
• Review and document clinical information for each patient and educate patients and co‑workers on treatment plans.
• Provide care tailored to the physical, psychosocial and educational needs of the assigned patient population.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist and certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• No prior work experience required.
• Computer proficiency for data entry, Windows‑style applications and role‑specific software.

Required skills

• Operation of respiratory therapy equipment such as ventilators and monitors.
• Arterial blood gas analysis.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) skills.
• Computer data entry and use of Windows applications.
