P&C Business Partner, Finance & Legal and Compliance

About the role

Genentech is looking for a People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner covering Finance and Legal and Compliance, based on-site in South San Francisco. The role partners with leadership teams in the Pharma Finance organization and the global Legal organization, primarily with the CFO for Genentech and the Heads of Finance for pRED, gRED and PD, and also with the Head of Global Legal Pharma and General Counsel for Genentech. It drives the L&C 2030 Digital and Data ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Align P&C strategy, goals and objectives with overall business strategy, and advise on talent management, workforce strategy, organization design and reward and recognition
• Recommend business practice and process improvements with clear ROI, and keep abreast of peers and competitors
• Act as strategic sparring partner and coach for leadership, diagnose retention, engagement and leadership development needs, and drive change with business leaders
• Gather and analyse internal and external data, benchmarks and metrics to share insights and recommend solutions
• Diagnose root causes of work environment and team issues and shape solutions with stakeholders

Required profile

• 12+ years of related experience; Bachelor's degree required
• Strong leadership skills, with or without direct reports, and enterprise mindset
• Proven ability to lead large-scale global initiatives and to coach and mentor senior leaders
• Ability to build trust and influence at all levels, and to use P&C Chapters and subject-matter experts
• Passion for diverse and inclusive work cultures

What we offer

• Salary range of $160,800 to $298,600 depending on experience, qualifications and location
• A discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance
