Payroll Business Systems Analyst

About the role

The Payroll Business Systems Analyst will support and enhance Workday Time Tracking and Payroll, collaborating with HR, Finance, IT and university stakeholders. The role drives functional solutions, project management, testing, change management and user support.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements, gather business needs, and recommend Workday solutions for Time Tracking and Payroll.
• Configure Workday HCM Time Tracking and Payroll, document process flows, and map interface requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans, facilitate User Acceptance Testing, and ensure deliverables meet business objectives.
• Create training materials, deliver training, and provide ongoing system support.
• Coordinate project activities, manage timelines, and act as liaison between business users, developers and vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, HR, Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of business/systems analysis or technology support experience.
• Experience supporting Workday HCM Time Tracking and/or Payroll, including process analysis and end‑user support.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Workday HCM configuration (Time Tracking and Payroll).
• Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
• SDLC methodology and test case development.
• Project management and prioritization in fast‑paced environments.
