Payroll and HR Coordinator

About the role

The company, a well‑established construction and steel fabrication firm, is looking for a Payroll & HR Coordinator to support daily operations across two affiliated businesses. Reporting to the CFO, you will handle payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding, and compliance reporting in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly payrolls for both the General Contracting and Steel Fabrication entities.
• Manage employee onboarding, terminations, 401(k) contributions, and group insurance enrollments.
• Coordinate open enrollment communications and maintain confidential employee records.
• Assist with weekly, quarterly and annual payroll reporting, audit documentation, and insurance renewals.
• Maintain corporate licensing, contractor licenses, annual reports and unemployment account filings.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in payroll, HR, or accounting support.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Outlook.
