Patient Services Representative – Part‑Time (Rolla Walk‑In Clinic)

About the role

The Patient Services Representative is the first point of contact for patients at the Rolla Walk‑In Clinic. You will create a welcoming environment, collect essential information, and guide patients through registration and insurance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and efficient environment for patients, addressing their needs throughout the initial stages of care.
• Collect and enter accurate demographic and insurance information into the system.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre‑authorizations or referrals, and explain benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Answer phones promptly, provide exceptional customer service, and assist patients with the online portal.
• Collect co‑pays, deductibles, and balance payments in accordance with hospital policy.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• At least six months of office, call‑center, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and lift up to 10 lb; assist patients in wheelchairs.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
• Strong data‑entry skills.
