Patient Services Manager

About the role

The Manager of Patient Services is a key front‑line manager supporting the Shields Health Solutions specialty pharmacy and medication adherence model. The manager provides day‑to‑day management for a team of pharmacy liaisons located in specialty clinics within hospital settings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the assigned Specialty Liaison team to deliver the highest quality experience for patients in specialty clinics.
• Coach, develop and motivate liaison staff while instilling Shields culture at health‑system partner sites.
• Facilitate communication between liaisons, Shields functional groups, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
• Meet or exceed operational targets for clinic service growth, patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives to drive growth and efficiency at partner sites.
• Ensure coverage for Specialty Liaisons during absences and maintain accountability for core tasks such as prior authorizations, financial assistance, refills, appointments and outreach.
• Collaborate with regional leadership on new clinic launches, workflow changes and strategic growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience preferred.
• At least 5 years working in a healthcare or pharmacy environment with direct patient and clinician contact.
• National certification as a CPhT or prior experience as a licensed pharmacy technician is optimal.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to manage performance against quantitative metrics.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential health information.
