Patient Registration - Customer Service Representative

About the role

R1 RCM is recruiting a Customer Service Representative for Patient Registration at Ascension NE Wisconsin Mercy in Oshkosh. You will be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital, helping them through registration in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, so no healthcare background is needed.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients using multiple computer systems
• Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
• Help patients who may be ill, anxious or confused
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training)
• Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
• Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test and meet vaccination requirements
• Preferred: medical or healthcare experience (not required)
