Part-Time Patient Registration Customer Service Rep

About the role

R1 RCM, a provider of technology-driven solutions for hospitals, health systems and medical groups, is hiring a part-time Customer Service Representative for patient registration in Oshkosh. You will be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital, helping them through the registration process. The shift is part time, 2:30pm to 11:00pm on varying days of the week, including rotating weekends and holidays. Training is provided, so no healthcare background is needed.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients efficiently across multiple computer systems
• Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
• Assist patients who may be ill, anxious or confused
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training)
• Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
• Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test and meet vaccination requirements
• Preferred: medical or healthcare experience (not required)
