Customer Service Representative - Patient Registration

About the role

R1 RCM is recruiting a Customer Service Representative for Patient Registration in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital, you will help them through the registration process, answer questions and gather accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, so no healthcare background is required.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients efficiently across multiple computer systems
• Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
• Assist patients who may be ill, anxious or confused
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (with training)
• Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
• Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test and meet vaccination requirements
• Preferred: medical or healthcare experience (not required)
