Patient Guest Services Assistant – Night Shift

About the role

The Patient Guest Services Assistant works the night shift at Avon Hospital, providing front‑desk support, directions, and concierge assistance to patients, families and visitors. The role ensures a safe, welcoming environment and serves as a local resource for hospital guests.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, guests and colleagues, providing directions and obtaining wheelchairs.
• Access patient information to confirm appointment times, locations and room numbers.
• Provide concierge services such as internet information, driving directions, restaurant and shopping recommendations.
• Report safety, maintenance and cleaning needs; respond to Code Blue and Code Red emergencies.
• Coordinate patient needs with other departments and collaborate on improvement programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills (Epic, Outlook, internal systems).
• Excellent verbal communication with empathy and professionalism.
• Two years of customer service experience, at least one year face‑to‑face.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree.
