Patient Access Representative – Full-time (On‑Site)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is seeking a full‑time Patient Access Representative to join its Doral location. In this on‑site role you will register patients for clinical services, verify insurance benefits, and collect payments while ensuring a smooth check‑in experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full patient registration, verify insurance, and ensure all information is accurate.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards, driver’s licenses, and any required referrals.
• Explain Consent for Treatment, Financial Liability, and HIPAA forms and obtain patient signatures.
• Assist patients with completing physician questionnaires and schedule follow‑up appointments, cancellations, and edits.
• Reconcile vouchers, answer telephone inquiries, and transfer calls as appropriate.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a medical office or registration setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
