About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Sports Medicine seeks a full‑time Medical Assistant 2 to support providers in Doral, FL. The MA2 will deliver hands‑on patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional standards under physician supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and instruments.
• Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and document findings in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, wound care, suture removal, and orthopaedic device application.
• Maintain accurate patient records, schedule tests, and manage inventory of medical supplies.
• Provide excellent patient service, coordinate patient flow, and respond to medical emergencies promptly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a credentialed Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a clinical setting.
