Patient Access Representative – Front Desk

About the role

The Patient Access Representative 1 serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and callers at the UHealth Tower. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, provide accurate information, and help ensure a smooth flow through the department.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors and direct them to their requested destinations.
• Answer incoming calls, place outgoing calls, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Respond to general inquiries and forward non‑routine requests to the appropriate staff.
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as sorting mail, handling faxes, and troubleshooting office equipment.
• Maintain department directories, visitation logs, and a tidy reception area.
• Place orders for department supplies as requested by leadership.
• Project a professional appearance and pleasant demeanor at all times.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and handle confidential information with discretion.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a customer‑facing or administrative role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to complete assignments accurately.
• Ability to process and protect confidential information.

Required skills

• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
• Proficiency in data entry with minimal errors.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use phone systems.
