Patient Access Representative 3 (On‑Site)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Patient Access Representative 3 to work on‑site at the UHealth SoLé Mia location. This role oversees registration and financial clearance activities to ensure proper reimbursement for services rendered.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for patient accounts.
• Contact patients’ families or physicians’ offices to gather missing insurance details.
• Verify insurance eligibility and notify patients and referring physicians of any issues.
• Collaborate with scheduling departments to identify add‑on patients.
• Secure necessary authorizations, pre‑certifications, and referrals.
• Notify patients of liabilities before service dates and collect required funds.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the system of record.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or relevant experience, certification, or license).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Learning agility to adapt to new procedures, technologies, and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software.
• Ability to use relevant computer applications.
