About the role

The Patient Access Representative 2 registers patients for clinical services, obtains necessary demographic and insurance information, verifies coverage, and collects payments. This on‑site position supports the UHealth SoLé Mia department by ensuring smooth financial clearance for scheduled appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical data needed for financial clearance.
• Contact patients’ families or physicians’ offices to gather missing insurance details.
• Verify insurance eligibility and notify patients and referring physicians of any issues.
• Collaborate with scheduling teams to identify add‑on patients.
• Secure authorizations, pre‑certifications, and referrals as required.
• Inform patients of financial liabilities and collect payments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the system of record.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in patient access, insurance verification, or related administrative roles.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong independent work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
