Pastry Chef – Culinary Leadership Role

About the role

Common House is looking for a dedicated Pastry Chef to join its kitchen leadership team. You will support the Executive Chef in delivering elevated dining experiences across all food‑and‑beverage outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all food meets Common House standards for taste, presentation, and timeliness.
• Collaborate with line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers to maintain seamless service and consistent quality.
• Support menu development by testing recipes, providing feedback, and executing seasonal menus, specials, and events.
• Maintain accurate prep lists, portion controls, and waste‑management systems.
• Oversee kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with Health Department and internal food safety protocols.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive kitchen experience, including 1–2 years in baking or pastry.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety compliance.
• Experience in à la carte and banquet preparation, preferably in a club, restaurant, or hotel setting.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and lift up to 50 lb.
