Director of Sales and Marketing

About the role

The Director of Sales and Marketing will develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to maximize hotel revenue. This senior position works closely with the Director of Revenue Management and leads a team to drive direct sales, e‑commerce, public relations and community partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a strong e‑commerce presence, managing internet and social media channels.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to create pricing and channel strategies.
• Use internal and external data to craft strategic plans for all business segments.
• Monitor sales team performance against the annual marketing plan and take corrective actions.
• Maintain relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and revenue.
• Prepare and maintain an annual marketing plan with measurable initiatives.

Required profile

• Four‑year college degree; advanced coursework in business, marketing or communications is a plus.
• Proven sales experience in a comparable hotel size, with operations experience preferred.
• Public relations and community marketing experience required.
