Part‑Time Student Ultrasound Technician

About the role

This temporary, part‑time position supports the ultrasound department at UAMS. It is designed for current University of Arkansas System students who want hands‑on experience in medical imaging while continuing their studies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist certified sonographers with patient preparation and positioning.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment under supervision.
• Document imaging procedures and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Follow safety and infection‑control protocols.
• Support scheduling and patient flow within the imaging suite.

Required profile

• Enrolled student at a University of Arkansas System campus.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong interest in medical imaging or allied health.
• Ability to work flexible hours on‑site.

Required skills

• Ultrasound equipment operation.
• Basic patient care and positioning.
• Understanding of medical imaging terminology.
