About the role
The Monitor Technician will operate the EKG Heart Station on the night shift, providing continuous cardiac monitoring for patients in a clinical setting. This position supports nursing staff by ensuring accurate and timely electrocardiogram data collection and equipment functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and maintain EKG monitoring equipment during night hours.
- Observe and record patients' cardiac rhythms, alerting staff to abnormal findings.
- Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
- Document monitoring results in the patient’s electronic health record.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized monitoring station.
Required profile
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to work night shift schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent; cardiac monitoring certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
Required skills
- EKG monitoring equipment operation.
- Cardiac monitoring and interpretation basics.
