Monitor Technician - EKG Heart Station

About the role

The Monitor Technician will operate the EKG Heart Station on the night shift, providing continuous cardiac monitoring for patients in a clinical setting. This position supports nursing staff by ensuring accurate and timely electrocardiogram data collection and equipment functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain EKG monitoring equipment during night hours.
• Observe and record patients' cardiac rhythms, alerting staff to abnormal findings.
• Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
• Document monitoring results in the patient’s electronic health record.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized monitoring station.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work night shift schedules.
• High school diploma or equivalent; cardiac monitoring certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.

Required skills

• EKG monitoring equipment operation.
