About the role

COC Consulting seeks a reliable part‑time phlebotomist to collect, process, label, store, and ship blood and urine specimens from Lacey, WA. Shifts are 3‑4 hours each morning, Monday‑Friday, with flexible start times between 5 AM and 8 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Collect patient blood and urine specimens following established procedures.
• Prepare and label specimens for testing, ensuring integrity and compliance with HIPAA.
• Verify requisitions, maintain daily collection tallies, and track laboratory supplies.
• Provide site‑specific procedural training to new employees.
• Travel to additional sites as needed and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and car insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check and handle ambiguous situations.

Required skills

• Phlebotomy techniques and specimen handling.
• Proficiency with computers and related technology.
