Part‑time Lecturer – Second Chance Pell Program

About the role

CT State Community College is seeking enthusiastic part‑time lecturers to teach courses for the Second Chance Pell Program. The position offers flexible teaching formats—on‑site, online, or hybrid—and allows you to make a meaningful impact on students pursuing academic and career success.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with approved syllabi and schedules.
• Evaluate student learning outcomes and maintain accurate records.
• Provide mentoring, academic advising, and support to a diverse student body.
• Develop and periodically update curriculum and instructional materials.
• Teach up to 8 credits per semester across CT State campuses.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in the relevant subject area.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
