About the role
The University of Miami’s Murphy Construction Program seeks part‑time lecturers for the Fall, Spring and Summer terms. Faculty will teach courses covering construction management, law, forensics, accounting, finance, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related building technology topics.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver lecture material for assigned construction‑related courses.
- Prepare assignments, exams, and evaluate student performance.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Collaborate with the College of Engineering and School of Architecture on curriculum development.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Engineering, Architecture or a closely related field, or a Master’s degree with extensive industry experience.
- Professional license or recognized certification in a construction discipline is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.
