Part‑Time Automotive Technology Instructor

About the role

Savannah Technical College is seeking a part‑time/adjunct instructor to teach Automotive Technology courses in both classroom and laboratory settings. The role involves delivering lectures, guiding hands‑on lab work, and ensuring a safe learning environment for students.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and retain students for the Automotive Technology program.
• Evaluate student progress toward program goals and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, and manage classroom activities.
• Maintain safety and security standards in classroom and lab environments.
• Offer flexible teaching hours, including day and evening classes.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Automotive Technology preferred.
• At least five years of automotive work experience within the past seven years.
• Current ASE certification in all eight areas.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications.
• Teaching experience at a post‑secondary institution is desirable.
