Part‑Time Adult Education Tutor – Savannah Campus

About the role

Join Savannah Technical College as a part‑time Adult Education Tutor on the Savannah campus. You will support adult learners preparing for their High School Equivalency (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) goals through personalized tutoring.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring in Math, English/Reading, Science, or Social Studies.
• Apply appropriate tutoring techniques and give constructive feedback.
• Track student progress and discuss outcomes with faculty or staff.
• Maintain accurate records and assessment documentation.
• Advise and counsel students, keeping advisement records up to date.
• Ensure classroom and lab safety in line with institutional guidelines.
• Participate in required meetings and professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Current college student or graduate with an overall GPA of 3.0 (or subject‑area GPA of 3.0) from a regionally accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability or experience in the subject area to be tutored.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject.
