Parts Manager - LNK

About the role

SkyWest Airlines, the largest independently owned regional airline, is hiring a Parts Manager for its Lincoln (LNK) station. The position reports to the General Manager of Parts, Base and Line and covers the inventory and operations of the Maintenance Base's rotable and consumable parts, supporting maintenance activities around the clock.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of company manuals, policies and procedures for inventory management across the Parts, On-Call, Contract and Substantial Maintenance Parts departments.
• Keep rotable and consumable parts at proper inventory levels according to policy and operational requirements.
• Oversee Parts Department operations and ensure Parts Clerks comply with company standards; provide 24/7 coverage of Parts operations.
• Ensure rotables are shipped to outside vendors or in-house accessory shops for repair, and account for total inventory value with accurate counts.
• Monitor fill rates and turn times, communicate with maintenance base shops to expedite parts processing and return to stock, and perform additional duties assigned by the General Manager.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old, with a valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license.
• High School Diploma or GED; legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Parts experience at a base level required; previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds routinely, extensive travel, and proficiency in typing.
• Must pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen.

Required skills

• Familiarity with computer inventory programs.
• Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Self-starter, good attendance, strong teamwork, problem-solving and organizational skills.

The selected candidate will travel outside the station for training and complete new hire onboarding; the posting may include an additional video interview. This is not a DOT safety-sensitive position.
