Part-Time Security Officer - Patrol Observation

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, offers a part-time Security Officer Enhanced position in Detroit, MI. It provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts when you want, and can lead to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $18.35 per hour.

The schedule is a fixed shift on Fridays from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with a six-month commitment to the anchor shift and site. Extra shifts can be claimed through the scheduling platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare location, including building interiors, entrances, parking areas and perimeter areas.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following site protocols.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Document incidents, observations and patrol activities and share relevant information with leadership and site representatives.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment, subject to applicable laws.
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
