Crowd Manager Supervisor

About the role

Olympia Entertainment is hiring a Crowd Manager Supervisor in Detroit. Crowd Managers work at venues such as Little Caesars Arena, Fox Theatre and Hockeytown Café, keeping security and safety at OEI venues and making sure policies and procedures are followed so that colleagues and guests feel safe and enjoy their experience.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the security and safety of colleagues and guests, and of the venue itself.
• Manage the movement of activities and guests.
• Perform security screening using Walk Through Metal Detectors (WTMD), handheld wands and bag checks.
• Monitor, patrol and respond to emergency situations inside and outside the venues.
• Interact with guests in a positive, friendly way, giving information and directions.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and write effective incident reports.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve safety concerns, and raise safety awareness while enforcing security best practices.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
• Flexible schedule, able to work most event dates and times.
• Physical stamina to work in a dynamic, demanding environment, and the ability to sit, stand, navigate stairs and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Required skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to conduct screening, including physical searches and use of a handheld wand.
• Effective communication and incident reporting.
