Part-Time Security Officer - Outlet Patrol Driver

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer Patrol Driver for an outlet in El Paso, Texas. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts through a claim-a-shift program. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

The position is built around a fixed shift commitment (an anchor shift) at a designated site, which requires a six-month commitment. Candidates can also earn more by taking on additional shifts, and the schedule allows building up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of shopping areas, common spaces, parking areas, entrances and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and spot security concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, medical situations and critical events, escalating them according to site procedures.
• Report suspicious activity, property damage, hazardous conditions and policy violations to the right people.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate professionally with site management, tenants, visitors and responding public service agencies.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions only).
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
