Part-Time Security Officer - Lobby Entry Verification

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer for lobby entry verification at a commercial real estate location in San Francisco. The officer welcomes visitors, manages access control and badge procedures, monitors entry activity and provides professional customer service. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors and clients at the front desk while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Monitor building access by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes and directing guests according to site requirements.
• Answer telephone calls, manage visitor logs, receive deliveries and give general information professionally and courteously.
• Monitor cameras, alarms and other security systems from the front desk and report unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly and problem-solve to incidents, visitor concerns and emergencies, following established site procedures.

Required profile

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing requirements may apply before employment.

Required skills

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required only for driving positions.
