Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer - Perimeter Assessment

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time unarmed security officer in San Francisco, California. The officer supports a government transportation location by conducting routine patrols, keeping a visible presence to deter incidents, reporting security concerns and providing customer service to employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and the public while carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities at government transportation facilities and surrounding areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, service disruptions and critical situations, notifying the right people and public agency representatives as directed.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, platforms, public areas, access points, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
• Monitor access to designated areas, assist with visitor directions and general inquiries, and report suspicious activity, hazards and policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident and shift reports and communicate professionally with site personnel, emergency responders and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen as conditions of employment.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
