Part-Time Security Officer - Driver Screening Inspection

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a driver screening inspection at a government location in West Palm Beach, Florida. The officer helps maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, communicating professionally and reporting security concerns, while providing customer service and a visible, dependable presence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities.
• Screen persons and permitted items entering the facility using assigned equipment and protocols, and report prohibited items or access concerns to the right personnel.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization and access credentials, keep entry orderly and direct visitors to the right places.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, document observations and complete required reports.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter to spot and report security concerns.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located (required for driving positions).
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military or security experience, or a college degree.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Preferred: customer service experience, a state, county or city security license, and a guard card or license.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
