Security Manager - Boston Area

About the role

Avis Budget Group is looking for a Security Manager to lead the security function and administer its security programs for the Boston area. The role covers security training, facility inspections, oversight of guard services, investigations and liaison with law enforcement. Frequent travel is required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the security function and implement security programs for the Boston area
• Develop and administer security-training programs for all employees in the area
• Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with operating procedures and local, state and federal regulations, and correct deficiencies
• Oversee guard services and conduct security audits
• Serve as liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies and give expert court testimony in relevant cases
• Oversee investigations of theft of company property and fraud involving rental agreements
• Ensure monthly security goals are met

Required profile

• Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of 10 years in investigation, security or law enforcement preferred
• Knowledge of criminal investigation procedures, law enforcement operations, the legal system, regulatory agencies, personnel training and auditing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and team management ability
