Security Guard

About the role

Associated Bank is looking for a Security Guard to manage security within an assigned branch or building. The role may require floating between several locations, and the incumbent must provide a visible presence, greet visitors and report any unusual or suspicious activity. The bank conducts a thorough background check on all new hires.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the identification, screening and registration of visitors, customers, vendors, contractors and delivery personnel, with a lobby presence in branches
• Conduct building security checks, stay aware of surroundings and respond to incidents as needed
• Maintain the guard post and operate security equipment, including surveillance and alarm systems
• Serve as the building Office Security Coordinator, assisting with tasks such as monitoring parking lots
• Review systems routinely, record errors and submit service tickets for repairs
• Follow security protocols and support critical incident response
• Help train and test the emergency readiness program, including an annual evacuation drill
• Take photos and help colleagues receive photo ID and building access

Required profile

• High school required; associate's degree or equivalent education and experience preferred
• Less than 2 years of security or law enforcement experience required; 2-4 years preferred
• Reliable transportation and the ability to drive oneself, if applicable
• Access to a background check and willingness to represent oneself honestly during hiring
