Access Control Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Access Control in Dakota City, Nebraska. The officer works at a food and beverage location, helping to manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access materials and keep accurate access logs and records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeters and access points, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Report unusual conditions, potential policy violations and security concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment, subject to applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Required skills

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
