Part-Time Music School Administrator

About the role

Grace Music School is looking for an organized and personable part‑time administrator to coordinate private and group music lessons across its Woodbury and Northport locations on Long Island. The role involves being the main point of contact for students, parents, teachers, and school leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate student and teacher lesson schedules, including make‑ups, cancellations, and changes.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and instructors about lessons, policies, schedules, and school events.
• Support teachers with the information and resources needed for effective lessons.
• Handle day‑to‑day student and parent inquiries and resolve scheduling or service issues.
• Assist with recitals, workshops, teacher performances, and other school events.
• Work with management on enrollment, retention, staffing, and operational goals.
• Perform light cleaning and tidying of common areas, reception, classrooms, and lesson spaces.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospective students and field new inquiries via phone, email, text, and website leads.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling software.
• Experience using email and Google Workspace.
