About the role

Join a compassionate, inclusive team delivering exceptional patient care in a med‑surg setting. This part‑time RN position at Ochsner St. Bernard Hospital focuses on using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve quality outcomes.
Educate patients and families, adapting communication to diverse cultural and religious needs.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to perform essential duties with reasonable accommodations as needed.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication for clear presentation of information.
