Part-Time Manager in Training

About the role

The Manager in Training supports the Store Manager with daily operations, customer service, and administrative tasks in a fast‑paced retail environment. This part‑time position provides hands‑on experience across all store departments and prepares you for future leadership roles.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and executing action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume full responsibility for the store during the Store Manager’s absence, guiding employees and ensuring standards are met.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability.
• Direct staff to complete departmental duties and maintain quality customer service.
• Provide product knowledge and guidance to customers and team members.
• Execute general administrative duties and uphold all company policies, procedures, and visual standards.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise, delivering extraordinary customer experiences.
• Protect company assets by following internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks.

Required profile

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear or athletic apparel.
• 1‑3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting and manage a team.
• Self‑starter with strong initiative and attention to detail.
• Team‑player passionate about outstanding service and merchandise sales.
