About the role
The Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Miami is creating a pool of qualified part‑time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses throughout the academic year. Appointees may teach up to two courses per semester and will deliver in‑person instruction in a variety of theatre‑related subjects.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in acting, dance, improvisation, playwriting, directing, stage management, scenic design, costume design, or related areas.
- Provide a minimum of three hours per week of office hours for each course to support student learning.
- Maintain classroom attendance, grading, and course preparation in accordance with university policies.
Required profile
- Graduate degree (MFA or MA) in Theatre Arts or a closely related field, or a BA with equivalent professional experience.
- At least two years of college‑level teaching experience in Theatre Arts or a related discipline.
- Ability to teach face‑to‑face, on‑site classes.
