Part-Time Lecturer in Commerce & Economic Development

About the role

The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach graduate‑level courses in its Master of Science in Commerce and Economic Development program. Instruction will primarily take place on the Boston campus, with possible online or hybrid formats.

Key responsibilities

• Teach specialized graduate courses covering applied economics, finance, data analytics, and economic development.
• Engage students through case studies, research projects, and practical applications of quantitative techniques.
• Maintain course materials, provide timely feedback, and hold office hours.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Economics, Finance, or a closely related field (preferred) or a Master’s with 5+ years high‑level professional experience.
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in commerce, economic development, applied economics, finance, policy analysis, or data analytics.
• Prior graduate‑level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• CFA certification (preferred)
• FRM certification (preferred)
• CPA license (preferred)
