About the role
The Frost School of Music is seeking a part‑time lecturer for its Dance Program within the Vocal Performance Department. This position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate students and contributes to the department’s artistic and academic mission.
Key responsibilities
- Teach courses such as dance history, modern dance (all levels), improvisation, composition, cultural dance, and dance/movement therapy.
- Develop and deliver curriculum for methodology of dance education at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Engage with students through performance, choreography, and movement‑based instruction.
Required profile
- MA, MFA, or PhD in dance or a closely related field.
- At least one year of relevant professional experience; prior college teaching experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated success as a performing artist, dance teacher, or certified dance/movement therapist.
