About the role
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Miami is seeking qualified individuals for a part‑time lecturer pool. Selected candidates will teach up to two undergraduate courses per semester and support student learning through labs and office hours.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, labs, and discussion sections for undergraduate computer science courses.
- Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Maintain a minimum of three hours per week of office hours per course to advise and assist students.
- Grade assignments, exams, and projects in a timely manner.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate students effectively.
- Availability to teach a maximum of two courses (or equivalent) during a semester.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of core computer science concepts and curricula.
