About the role
Historic New England is looking for a part‑time Greenhouse Assistant to promote and sell plants, merchandise, and memberships while helping maintain and interpret the historic plant collection at the Lyman Estate Greenhouses.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and conduct sales of plants, merchandise, and memberships to meet established goals.
- Participate in the maintenance and interpretation of the historic plant collection and greenhouse.
Required profile
- Enjoy working with the public and have at least one year of retail sales experience.
- Experience in nursery or greenhouse sales, strong communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.
- Availability on weekends, ability to work in all weather conditions, and capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
