Part-Time Day Shift NICU Registered Nurse

About the role

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is hiring a part-time day-shift Registered Nurse for its NICU. The nurse provides direct care to newborns and their families, works with the medical team and responds to code situations. The position offers a 5K sign-on bonus and relocation allowance to eligible candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle needs
• Develop and update individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and regulatory requirements
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families
• Supervise and delegate care provided by other team members
• Respond promptly to code situations and take part in performance improvement activities

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; additional licensure or certification may apply depending on unit or state
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree in nursing required
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing)
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs

Pay range: $34.60 - $59.83.
