Part-Time CDL Bus Driver

About the role

We are seeking a Part-Time Bus Driver to safely and efficiently transport passengers along designated routes. The ideal candidate must hold a CDL Class B with a Passenger Endorsement and be available to work on Sundays and some weekdays.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the bus safely along scheduled routes, ensuring punctual arrivals and departures.
• Ensure passenger safety by following protocols, assisting with boarding, and managing conduct.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Provide courteous customer service, greeting riders and creating a welcoming environment.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Document and report any accidents, delays, or incidents to the Transportation Manager.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Prior experience as a bus driver or in a transportation‑related role is preferred.
• Strong driving skills and excellent knowledge of traffic laws.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, assist passengers, and perform vehicle inspections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Must pass a criminal background check and meet all state and federal licensing requirements.
• Availability to work Sundays and some weekdays, with flexible hours.
