Part-Time Box Office Staff

About the role

The Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon is looking for a part-time box office staff member to support ticketing operations and customer service in the Box Office/Call Center during regular business hours and at ticketed events. The expected commitment is 15-30 hours per week, with possible extended hours during events; the organization is open on Saturdays in the summer. Applicants must complete a paid 3-day training event and be available for all ticketed events, including the days leading up to them.

Key responsibilities

• Sell tickets in person and by phone for multiple events through the online ticket platform
• Learn and master the ticketing system platform
• Create a safe, clean and friendly experience for guests
• Memorize events, venues, seat maps, pricing, policies and general information
• Balance cash at the end of each shift with the Manager or Assistant Manager
• Follow box office operational policies and procedures
• Answer questions about the events, tickets and the area in person, by phone and by email
• Handle miscellaneous clerical duties such as typing, correspondence and file maintenance
• Process purchased ticket orders by printing, processing and mailing tickets

Required profile

• Age 16 or older; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Customer service experience and the ability to resolve conflicts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and discretion
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure and to meet high standards of cleanliness and appearance
