Part-Time Banquet Server

About the role

Sea Crest Beach Resort, a 253-room waterfront resort in North Falmouth, Massachusetts, is hiring a part-time Banquet Server. The role involves setting up banquet rooms and serving food and/or beverages in line with guest service and sustainability standards. The advertised pay is $12.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms as instructed by the supervisor.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details, including guest and hotel expectations.
• Serve food and/or beverages in the order expected by the supervisor to keep service consistent.
• Replenish beverages and check with guests about their overall satisfaction.
• Remove dishes promptly as guests finish each course or meal.
• Respond to special requests and resolve guest complaints.
• Follow state, federal and corporate rules on serving alcohol, and follow safe work habits, protective equipment and MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to remember and recite menu items.
• Physical demands include standing for long periods, walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
• Schedule varies and includes holidays and weekends.
