About the role
The University of Miami’s Gordon Center is hiring part‑time temporary Paramedic Instructors to teach EMS students in Miami, FL. Instructors will deliver curriculum, assess student performance, and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Instruct and train paramedic students across all levels, following applicable standards and regulations.
- Assess instructional needs, develop and revise course syllabi, and evaluate curriculum effectiveness.
- Maintain current licensure, stay updated on field changes, and ensure FERPA compliance.
- Prepare and grade assignments, examinations, and class presentations.
- Secure classroom resources, equipment, and tools; follow clinical affiliation agreements.
- Participate in faculty meetings, accreditation activities, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Paramedic license with certification in a relevant specialty.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience for Instructor levels 1‑3; 5 years for senior instructor roles.
- Ability to complete assignments accurately, prioritize work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
