Paramedic (Full-Time and Part-Time)

About the role

Assist Ambulance, a New York City EMS agency serving the five boroughs, is hiring new and experienced paramedics for full-time and part-time positions at its Brooklyn base. It provides advanced life support and basic life support by emergency and non-emergency ambulance transport to hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, doctors' offices and community organisations.

Required profile

• Active NY State EMT-P card; NYC REMAC-NREMT card alone is not accepted.
• At least 20 years old and 1 year of driving experience in New York City.
• Valid, clean NYS D Class driver's licence; DJ licences are not accepted.
• Physically fit to lift 125 lbs, able to obtain 19A physical clearance and a negative PPD test, and pass a 10-panel drug screen.
• Commitment to at least two 12-hour shifts per week on the same days every week; per diem is not available.
• Good with people and able to act responsibly under extreme duress; criminal history reviewed under the NYC Fair Chance Act.
